My passion is to highlight the BEST in people and dance environments. When you see me out with my video camera, I am working as a volunteer UMC documentarian on the 411house project, chronicling 411+ weeks of life in the House Music Community, primarily Chicago. I could also be doing a story for Underground Music Channel 4, the news outlet that features the underground dance music culture in Chicago and beyond.UMC, the Underground Music Conservation, is an international not-for-profit arts organization based in Chicago with a mission to .. and preserve non-mainstream music and art forms that promote love and unity. The 411house project exist to:a. Increase the publics awareness of and access to the most influential artists and entities in the Chicago House Music Community from a ..ed timeline of 1996-current, b. Mutually and simultaneously benefit all those involved, c. Provide each participating artist/entity a bibliography of their representation in the 411house project once financing is secured to archivally store and duplicate the 411+ weeks of ..ation.2006 marks the 10 year anniversary of the 411house project and the UMC is currently planning a fundraiser later this year to digitize, catalog, and archive the 411+ weeks of data in order to make it possible to provide free access to each participating artist/entity their chronological representation in the archives. Until then, the archives are not accessible to public or private entities so that all can optimally benefit equally. UMC continues to cover events weekly, and is currently seeking collaborations on fundraisers to cover the cost of producing the participating artists promotional materials in order to provide free services more readily.That's one of the reasons I got on MySpace...to keep in contact with everybody House, to meet more House people, and also let House people know when UMC has news or offerings.See you out!
