YANN is a musician who lives in New York City. He is a serious and devoted composer, singer and songwriter, who plays the piano, among other instruments. The role of music in Yann's life rose to importance at the early age of seven, when he began playing the piano, singing and writing lyrics. Yann reflected on how the world is changing and decided to write about sexual encounters and more precisely fast-sex encounters due to the Internet. Hence, a song wisely titled Connected. “I am not judging anyone or anyone’s behavior, I am just explaining how I perceive the evolution of human behavior due to technological advancement. It is now so easy to just get on line for a couple of minutes and be satisfied with some kind of short-term situation a few hours later, no strings attached,†Yann explains. Connected is a memorable song, with a great theme to talk about, accompanied by risqué and edgy lyrics.Yann moves from heartfelt ballads to funky, danceable songs with ease, and is comfortable performing in a wide range of pop & dance music. He sets out to create a sound that would not only set him apart from his contemporaries and recall past pop classics, but would also allow him to reach as many different audiences as possible.
