About Me

"My father says that almost the whole world is asleep. Everybody you know. Everybody you see. Everybody you talk to. He says that only a few people are awake and they live in a state of constant total amazement.""There are certain times in your life when I guess you're not supposed to have anybody, you know? There are certain doors you have to go through alone.""Eckhart saw Hell too. He said: The only thing that burns in Hell is the part of you that won't let go of life, your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away. But they're not punishing you, he said. They're freeing your soul. So, if you're frightened of dying and... and you're holding on, you'll see devils tearing your life away. But if you've made your peace, then the devils are really angels, freeing you from the earth."

Seems as if lately, I'm daring the world to push me off a cliff, just to see if I can fly.

My Interests

Heres the thing, I'm not so sure who I am anymore, so it's hard for me to tell you a lot about myself.
I can say that I like to be around people that are smarter than me (not so hard) and that are very different than I am. Sure I could surround myself with people who have the same tastes and passions as I do, but whats the point of that? I want to open up my world with new viewpoints and experiences.
I'm leaving the old stuff I put in here, because it still applies, to a point.
It's just kind of shallow, I mean, "I like movies and music with a passion for.. ***YAWN*** Check please!
If ya wanna know who I am, read my blog, thats where I say more than I should about things I haven't a clue about. (gee, i make myself sound so appealing don't I... not to good at this who "social" aspect of networking!I'm interested in being around people who are smarter than me and enjoy good conversation, passionate, open minded, civil debate. (having a good time helps a lot as well!) Reading, watching movies, Home Theater (to watch said movies) I'm pretty excessive when it comes to coffee and tea, going so far as to order my coffee freshly roasted from a micro-roaster out of Baltimore. I'm passionate about music, Wandering around the web, playing PC games, a love for geeky and silly science fiction shows like Doctor Who/Godzilla films/MST3K.. yadda yadda yadda.Told you it was crap, CRAP I TELL YOU! Does it mention that I was brought to tears over a music video filmed in a area of New Orleans where I used to live?
Or that parts of my life are being burned away?
Or that I love celtic music and tiki culture?
Or that I've lost over 130 pounds this year?

I'd like to meet:

People who understand that we are all flawed beings seeking and creating our own meaning in this world. Only through a kind heart and a perseverance and willingness to risk our safety from being hurt can friendships be forged. And a better life be lived. And Hot MILF's.
