Singer/songwriter Gordon Price and billboard number one producer Stacy Heydon(also former guitarist for David Bowie)created toast, an electric alternative rock band inspired by the two musicians' love of creating original music.
With Toast there is no intention of re-inventing the wheel, but to merely air the creative voice of a group of troubled souls, Gordy says.
Toast began in the year 2000 out of the ashes of the "Garden" project. They produced 2 CDs over the course of two years, then disbanding the "Garden" project led the duo to more songwriting, resulting in the first self-titled, self released Toast album.
Toast played many Southeastern Virginia shows, Toast was contacted by famed conductor Robert Winston, who studied under Leonard Bernstein and traveled around the world conducting symphonies, Toast playing two Virginia Beach shows together and due to their success, Toast was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall and the United Nations in August of 2003
Toast was also released in Austrailia in August of 2004 and received rotation in over 26 radio stations. The reviews have been extremely positive and copies are available on request.
Gordon Price has also started another project named "Fat Sam", and are currently playing all over the Southeastern Virginia. Check them out either through there website (fatsamrocks.com) or their myspace (www.myspace.com/fatsamrocks)
