I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Music-type. Preferably ping-ponging between the mystical and here. I play drums for Oakhurst and sometimes The Reals, guitar and percussion for Protosonic & deeply devoted to spinning &/or hand drumming to House music. Since music performance is the #1 thing my life since I was a wee tot, I am also for hire. Let me add some Cruller to your music, you will love it, guaranteed-or your money back (minus the bar tab, hehehe)...

My Interests

All things mysterious and unknown and the paths & doors that lead one to novel experiences and dimensions. Also: music, laughing, tom foolery, jack assery, fun, traveling, sweets, connections.

I'd like to meet:

In particular, anyone with unique & compelling art for collaboration and sharing with the world. Everyone has a bright contribution (whether they know it or not). I would also like to meet someone who has six arms. Please use them to send me a message if you are requesting an add as a friend. I want to have one (at least) communication moment with you...

Music:

Oh yeah! Where do I to start? Perhaps pre-womb for the reincarnationists.Too much to list, but I love most everything musica. In particular, drum based tunes/groups (a la Taiko, Kodo, shamanistic applications of frame drums, shakers & bells, drum circles (especially when everyone lets go), any music that makes you dance uncontrollably-got a big ol' soft spot for house music-check out Sunshine Jones of/& Dubtribe Sound System, The Wicked Crew-SF (esp. Jenö & Garth), the Tribe Posse-Denver (Jaysun, Ed), shoot, I may even end up playing your party. I really like the whack-jobs who make their instrument not sound like what it is, or pushes it forward to new corners of it's realm. I prefer the music & otherworldliness associated with groups along the lines of burste, Crash Worship, Can, Extra Action Marching Band, The Yard Dogs Road Show, Critters Buggin'...Music is really the basis of my being here on earth in the first place.

Movies:

I love to laugh, so funny flicks are always top of the list. On the flip, twisted is real cool, too.

Television:

I don't devote much time to it-not too into the TV induced coma.

Books:

Love 'em, especially w/toasted sesame oil, tamari & a huge dollop of wasabi. Maybe a splash of rice wine vinegar, too.

Heroes:

Visionaries, bright, positive & humble souls. My cat, Ditty is a hero, too. He's damn smart.

My Blog

The best band in Denver.

The Inactivists. Hands down. Got to sit in a bit last night with them at the Cricket. Too damn much fun! Kelly was a gracious drummer and let me (ab)use his kit for "Sammy Sammy."Oh Lordy! Good m...

My kind of winter...?

Ok, so the last time I thankfully commented on our mild winter found us chest deep in a blizzard within a week. One storm a week for the last 5 weeks has kept us buried. This is the first time since I...

My kind of winter...

Not being a fan of cold and trecherous traveling, I have been digging this warm, low snow winter so far. I hope it continues, but monkeys may fly out of my butt. Yeah, yeah, it's bad for the drought a...
