WELWITSCHIA est le résultat de la créativité de six musiciens et d’un projectionniste possédant des influences multiples et divergentes.Ainsi, WELWITSCHIA ce manifeste comme étant une relation symbiotique au parcours parfois chaotique,parfois harmonieux. Cherchant à créer un mur de son percutant, notre musique évoque une puissance tranquille entremêlée d’ambiances à la fois violentes, austères et mélancoliques. Lors des performances "live", l’omniprésence de l’aspect visuel amplifie davantage l’impact émotif de la musique et peut porter les auditeurs vers certain état d’hypnose.
Nous prévoyons être de retour sur la scène sherbrookoise en compagnie de notre nouveau–né vers fin aout début septembre...
L'Intro est un avant gout de notre album. Elle n'est toutefois pas mixée ni masterisée.

It's been a little more than 4 years since the very first notes of Welwitschia. What started as a three piece quickly evolved into a 7 band member. Composed of 3 drummers, 2 guitarist, a bass player and a projectionnist, the ensemble thrive their inspiration from every member's own musical background making an incredible stereo.
Without too many compromises we came to a mutual vision of our continuesly heart-devoted WORK IN PROGRESS. So Welwitschia manifest ifself as a symbiotic relaiton with a chaotic and harmonius path. Trying to create a powerful wall of sound, our music summons up a calm and strenghful crescendo filled by dark, violent and atmospheric melodies of melancoly-like moods.
The visual aspect of the band takes its full effect during a live show where the images build up a certain hypnotic vibe for the crowd, driving some into emotional avenues. The projectionnist works with 6 slide projector onto 3 differents screen.We are presently working on our first recording that should provoke our comeback on the Sherbrooke scene somewhere around the end-august or early september.
The Intro is just a sip of our album, we present it to you in its raw version: unmixed and not mastered yet.
