I've been a guitarist and musician for as long as i can remember. As it turns out, I'm even better at building & repairing them. I've always been good at getting a decent set-up out of my axes, but it wasn't until just a few years ago I made a commitment to myself to take my passion for the instrument to the next level. I moved to Vancouver Island off the west coast Canada for a year and attended The Summit School Of Guitar Building & Repair. Let me tell you, everything you've heard about British Columbia, Canada is probably true. After 8 months there apprenticing under some of the worlds finest guitar builders and repairmen, I returned to the good 'ole USA with 2 new acoustic & 4 new electric guitars. All of which I built myself. Not mention a wealth of training in stringed instrument repair. I can be found now in Erie, PA, spending all my free time doing as much guitar repair and customizing work as I can get my hands on, and even find a little more time for building new guitar projects.
I've done countless repair, tech & custom jobs here in Erie over past 3 years. Some of my clients include:
Sonny Lombardozzi
Matt Texter
Doug Phillips
Jake Johns
Greg Szuba of Hello Kitty Death Squad
Tom Wurst of Scarwork
Sean Dean of Whiplash
Eric Brewer of Spooner
Adam Holmquist of The Moralists
John Bixby of The Jungle
just to name a few...
I have also freelanced work through:
Lynch Music of Fairview, PA
Raven Music & Sound of Erie, PA
Nolan Brothers School Of Music of Erie, PA

I'd like to meet:

Do you need your acoustic, electric, bass, banjo, or mandolin fixed up? I'm looking to meet musicians who are as serious about thier instruments as they are about thier music. People who want to talk to a repairman, not a salesman at the local music store. If you want to buy a guitar from me, it will have to be a guitar that I custom built for you, by hand, from scratch. I work out of my home, which enables me to keep my repair & customizing work more affordable than any retail music store. Not only that, I do the repairs that alot of stores send out of town. Who knows who might be working on your guitar...? As for the hand built guitars, well..., I'm afraid those don't come cheap. But hey, mass production should be for mini-vans & beer, not guitars!

gathering wood

I really enjoy my new job.  We are allowed to keep off-cuts of wood that would most likely end up as scrap.  I have enough wood gathered around my workbench now to build four bodies and six ...

Expresso makers & acoustic guitars

What do guitars and expresso makers have in common?  Aside from some late night songwriting, not much.  But ask any accomplished repairman, and he'll most likely own an expresso maker, ...
