It's Never Too Late To Be Who You Might Have Been.

About Me

" There is a fire burning over the Earth, taking with it plants and animals, cultures, languages, ancient skills and visionary wisdom. Quelling this flame, and reinventing the poetry of diversity, is the most important challenge of our times. " -Wade Davis
I've got stories to tell.
I worked for six years as a bike messenger. I also once worked for three days in a diaper factory. Life is funny that way.

Some days I swear I can feel the passion and compassion draining from my being and the ambivalence and complacency creeping in to fill the void. That is the feeling of life slipping away. Without passion and purpose our lives are nothing.
A study was done recently. Scores of terminally ill people were interviewed on a variety of topics. When asked what their biggest regrets were, most stated things such as not spending more time with those they loved, not traveling more and seeing and learning the world outside of their own, and not doing more for society and the planet. Not one mentioned wishing they had earned more money.
What are you living for?
" your life is your life.
don't let it be clubbed into dank submission.
be on the watch.
there are ways out.
there is light somewhere.
it may not be much light, but it beats the darkness.
be on the watch.
the gods will offer you chances.
know them, take them.
you can't beat death, but you can beat death in life,
sometimes.
and the more often you learn to do it,
the more light there will be.
your life is your life,
know it while you have it.
you are marvelous.
the gods wait to delight in you. "

I am far from a perfect person, but I am making a conscious effort to better myself each day. Recent events in my life have shown me that life is too short to take for granted. We also can't take for granted being with those we love because they can be taken away from us without warning.
While I am not a follower of any organized religion, I do believe in a higher power. I can see it in ways that can't be scientifically explained. A mother's love, a child's innocence, and the power of music. I also believe wholeheartedly in kharma. I gladly call myself an agnostic instead of an athiest because I know that humans are far too stupid to begin to understand the truth of existence.
"After silence, that which comes nearest to expressing the inexpressible is music." - Aldous Huxley
