In 2005 after more than a decade of perfecting this style his highly acclaimed debut LP"The Calm Before The Storm" was released on Valentines Day. The 19 track album features Bostons biggest names such as Krumbsnatcha (Gangstarr/Wolves), Edo G (Special Teamz) and Kreators. Myster DL moved thousands of cd's indipendantly and set up locations in the South and North West. He produduced, and recorded the entire album and is the founder of ILL Mannered Records. Myster DL recieved world wide air play for "How We Roll & Let if Fall" & an overwhelming request for beats & verses were easy to handle.In 2006 Myster DL Presents Liberty City Stories was released on the streets of Miami and did very well, getting a huge positive response.The Cd was grimmey and unlike any other mixtape released in the south in years. Myster DL and company recorded the whole mixtape on 12 hours of studio time and it was mixed and arranged over night. Myster DL earned seperate degrees in audio production and communications from a few schools including the New England Institute of Art in 2004 and he has remained busy in the studio since completing his higher education.Myster DL does more than just rhyme words, his vivid imagination allows us 2 visualize everything he says. He doesnt feel the need to be super abstract, he never writes lies or things he hasnt personally seen or done. He is conscious to the ways of the world but he is still aware that he is a hustler and a weed head and isnt scared to represent what he is. He will never claim to be a killer or a gangster or a crack dealer, "why would someone buy a cd to listen to a MC lying about there life, thats not hip hop to me" said Myster DL on air in 2006.
