ROLL THE DICE, BABY!

About Me

So who is this fella? Well, I'd describe myself as a happy, outgoing, smiling, music loving, creative, rather intelligent, young-at-heart and hardworking citizen of the world. Based in my beloved hometown of Stockholm, the beautiful and vibey (music) capital of Sweden, I embrace the world with a good portion of karma, humour, love and curiousity. Besides having endless fun with my wonderful daughter and best friend Alicia Lidell, I entertain myself with various activities: listening to tons of great music (and quite a lot of shitty music at work;-), playing Sunday league football/soccer, spending time with family and friends, working out, travelling, playing drums, occassional partying & clubbing, shopping etc. Professionally, I'm a European A&R executive (artist & repertoire) for Universal Music Publishing UK & Europe, commuting between Stockholm and London. Before I joined Universal I was managing director and co-owner of independent music publishing company Murlyn Songs and prior to that...head of A&R at Chrysalis Music Scandinavia. I'm single after having separated in 2004. Not heartbroken, not bitter... just happy to get rid of that lying, gold-digging psycho bitch...

I'd like to meet:

Good karma people, music lovers from all over the world and why not the love of my life? I'd love: to have a drink and discuss politics with Hunter S Thompson, to discuss life and death issues with Dalai Lama, to enter a funky jam session with Prince on guitar, James Brown on vocals, George Murray on bass, Stevie Wonder on keyboards and me, myself and I on drums, to once again see The Clash rock The Music Machine in London, to once again see Iggy Pop, Ramones, Sex Pistols and MC5 bring raw rock power to the stage, to once again see Bob Marley bring his irresistible rhythms and poetry to the stage, experience a close encounter of the third kind, to play a five-a-side game with Ronaldino (Barcelona) Thierry Henry (Arsenal), Samuel Eto'o (Barcelona) and Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Inter Milan), spend some time with an isolated tribe in the rainforests of Borneo, have a billion of a decent currency in my savings account - and tons of other silly things:-)...

Music:

I hate daft and narrow minded "genre fascists". I adore GREAT MUSIC in all shapes and forms: great songwriting, 60's to contemporary rock, pop, soul, r'nb, hard rock, rare grooves, old school hip hop, house, Motown, Stax, ska, rock steady, original Detroit and NYC punkrock and be-bop. In other words...music with great feel, emotion, edge, energy, sincerity, power and groove.

Movies:

I like to watch, yes ;-)...I'm a dedicated film junkie but it would take me too long to list all of my favourite films here and now.

Television:

Little Britain, Entourage, Green Wing, The Office, Extras, London Live, world & local news, political documentaries, investigating journalism, travel programmes, History and Discovery Channel, re-runs of Faulty Towers and Monty Python, Premier League, Serie A and La Liga, Champions League, NHL icehockey, MLB baseball...

Books:

I wish I read more proper litterature than I actually do (would make me more interesting, right?) but I never seem to find the time. Used to read a lot, and believe it or not, I have bagged up most of the classics. But I have always time for a couple of pages of any brilliant and enlightening book before I'm off to sleep. I'm currently into Charles Pignone's "The Sinatra Treasures"...great reading!

Heroes:

My daughter Alicia, my mum Margita, my late father Arne (r.i.p), unselfish and empathic people in general and last but not least...all the wonderful weirdos around the world - don't ever stop chasing your dreams!!!
