Blizzard is a young talented rockband from The Netherlands, founded in the summer of 2001. At the moment the band is making a great career in the Dutch rockmusic circuit.
The band plays energetic Groove-Rock en the fresh compositions are written by leadsinger/bassplayer Timo. Discover how the band combines pure emotion and powerfull rock too catchy songs. Heavy guitarriffs from Thies, groovy basslines from Timo and the banging drums from Niels creates a great and powerfull sound.
The 2004 released demo-single ’Still Questioning’ caused Blizzard a lot of media attention. Regional as well national radio stations were interested. A lot of big shows and festivals (Paaspop Zieuwent) followed. Two years after the successful demo-single the band was ready to record new material.
Blizzard released their first album, called ’Thinking Twice’, in March 2006. The album contains eight potentional tracks. The album is recorded at the well known S&K Studio, located in Doetinchem. Just like the demo-single, the album is produced by Dick Kemper (Vandenberg). Dick has a lot of experience with rockbands and also knew to create a great production with Blizzard. ’Thinking Twice’ contains heavy powerfull ’feel good’ rocksongs (’Feeling Great’, ’Never Let You Down’, ’Thinking Twice’) but also some emotional catchy ballads (’More Than A Wish’, ’In Memories’). Short after releasing the album, Blizzard performed on big national radio stations (Radio 3FM, Kink FM, 100% NL), national music television (TMF) and regional television (TV Gelderland).
