About Me

Supernova Scotia is a Group of young men that consists of David Sheenan, John Prendergast, Neil Quigley, Steven Morton and Niall O'Regan. Formed by David in early 2006, the other 3 sexual boyos melded into the band in 2007 and finally John shortly afterwards to from the current line-up. Amongst other things, Supernova Scotia like walks in the park, sunny days, the sweet sounds of the Jackson 5 and Earl Gray Tea.
1. "Capogg" is what happened when I tried to write a surf song.
FACT: Pertaining to the title; I used a Capo on the 'E String' on my guitar so it was transposed to 'G'. (Work it out) The second 'g' is superfluous but, I think it looks nice on paper.
2. "Gamtgittrn" is a song about the most banal of all topics; courtin'.
FACT: The title is an acronym of all the words in the first line of the song (minus the first two words).... useless
3. "Ecki" is a song with lyrics pilfered from James Joyce's 'Portrait of the artist as a young man'.
FACT: Ecki was the name of a Dog.
4. "Oxen" is a song about cattle.
FACT: The Gaur is the largest of the bovine species and is a large, dark-coated ox of South Asia and Southeast Asia.
5. "Worrying is Wasteful" is a song made by David S with his lovely computer and magical microKorg. they go so well together; like passion fruit and bitter black coffee.
FACT: it's not about heroin or wanking as a lot of songs seem to be interpreted as.
6. "Reconstruction of a Saturday" was originally called Description of a trial, but as Steve mixed up the title of it with another song when making the sleeves for the P.A.T.P.H. cd i was forced to change it's title. Tut tut. It is hence a testament to the pretentiousness of my song names. The fact that the names are interchangeable does not really attribute to them.
FACT: Steve is silly.
