About Me

HIGH SPEED COLLISION
The long and fascinating history of high speed collision started 4 years ago when David Sheenan joined the band "Obscure Youth" with Ian Flynn. After the demise of that outfit, various line up changes ensued until nearly 2 years ago John Prendergast and David O'Quigley joined Ian and David S to form the current band. We Spend most of our time recording and gigs are a rarity, but we hope to get back to gigging soon. We have about a lot of songs in our set but they're not all recorded. The current recordings are just demo's and are yet to be completed. We intend to play gigs again, but it'll probably be a while. Hopefully people won't loose interest in us by then.
The 1st song is new song as of august 2006. it's called "VERNON AFTER THE RACE" and was made by David S. it's a new venture for the band in sampling and use of electronic beats and such. it contains samples from lambchop and from some old Elvis tapes. Thats an early version, but we wanted something new up!
The 2nd song is called "IN THE CITY" and its only a working title. this is a recording by David S and is yet to be recorded with the full band.
The 3rd one is called "OVERDRIVE" and its an old recording with the full band, only it's the non-vocal version. the vocal track still has to be put down. which will eventually happen!
The 4th song is again another by David S mainly because the bands recordings aren't as complete. it called "TRAFFIC" and has a sample from the film Traffic in it. its the oldest of the recordings but one of our favourites.
