The AAYP

Powerful Beyond Measure.

About Me

Can you envision a world where we are not judged by the color of our skin, donde nacimos, or our age, but a world where we are judged by the contents of our hearts and minds? Where we are judged by our contributions to building a better world?
I envision not a revolution, but an Evolution of concentrated effort toward providing the 150+ million people under the age of 35 who will inherit this patch o' planet from 78 MILLION baby boomers! Currently boomers cruise unchecked through the American landscape with a powerful lobby and interest group, the AARP, that handed out free prescription drugs to most everyone over 65. Who's running the show? Boomers and they want you to pay for it. Free prescription drugs means free to them. Gen X and Gen Y pay with bigger costs and bigger insurance premiums. Not fair!
The AARP tilts it's lance at anything that threatens the financial well-being of our members.
Frankly, the AARP is genius. And now it's our time. Why subsidize the lifestyles of a separate population? Why provide a group with over a TRILLION dollars in consumer buying power better deals, while the other pay full price in ignorance?
Is it because of a lack of centralized youth advocacy? Is it because our government and the corporations that sell to us know a dirty little secret? They think young Americans don't want value. They think young Americans won't say enough is enough. Evidently we don't need discounts?
Or is it we haven't organized and asked for discounts, special rates, promotions to pull our friends and family into the mix?
Oddly it's the struggling 18 year old trying to pay for community college, car insurance, and hold down two/three jobs that needs the AAYP the most! Well here we are.
In the short term, the AAYP delivers fantastic savings by screening AAYP endorsed products and services. In the long term, the AAYP's goal is to unite the disparate groups and through unity of purpose and concentration of effort, affect large scale physical, mental, and financial improvements on behalf of America's youth.
It's show time.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we POWERFUL BEYOND MEASURE.

My Interests

WHO ARE WE? The AAYP is a non-partisan, non-profit association aimed at protecting and securing the resources and social fabric necessary for a livable future. i.e. We want want they get -- free and discounted stuff!

The AAYP will leverage it's social capital to provide better access at a lower cost for what matters most to young adults: health care, cost effective insurance options, higher education access and funding, and even day to day things like groceries, utilities, and (especially now) fuel.

"Hmmm? Insurance premium or keg this month?" AAYP makes it an easier decision, BOTH!
