ALVARO VELABorn in Madrid in 27 March 1971, Alvaro Vela started early to get recognition among the music circles of DJ´s that started breaking molds in the known times of the movida. Alterning styles such as Funf, House and techno, he got into the best dance clubs in town, and soon enough, his name was closely linked to places as well known as Pacha (Madrid, Ibiza), Ku (Ibiza, San Sebastan), Privilege and Amnesia (Ibiza), or Junction (Cambridge). He was as well one of the main features in the known raves Static Sound System, also in Madrid, where he had the chance to share the turntables with some of the most well known Dj´s in the world. At the end of the nineties, a tremendous crisis in Spain turn the business upside down, and Alvaro Vela decided to start producing his own music, while at the same time commenced an intense search in the world of new technologies that day by day shake the world of sound. Faced with the general lack of ideas in the sector, and its relation to global record labels, Alvaro decided to produce and distribute his own music in the alternetive circuit, proving as well as his creativity his lack of desire to bend to the wims of the industry. This self taught and imaginative approach, turned into Maresias I, an exotic fusion that goes close to the land of Lounge, and where creativity and imagination become the touchstone of his work as a composer. His rithmic sections of downfunk turn into a whole universe of beats and sensations, making it unique and personal. This process of experimenting and searching continues in his next album, Maresias II.Later on come the first two volumes of Inlakesh, in his own label Malva Records. Both albums were distributed by Ibiza Music & Clothes, both nationally and internationally. In this second part of his work, Alvaro approaches music as the language of emotions, showing his undeniable ability for musical complicity with the crowd on the dance floor. Both cd´s had the additional value of a couple of Maxi-singles, and also being the first two numbers of a trilogy, leave the door open to new surprises and new forms to address music, a trademark in his carreer. In 2003, he creates No Studio, his own production facility. Based in Madrid, the studio starts working in publicity, as well as producing other artists. At that time Malva records also signs Gaspanic, a music proyect that at the begining of ´04 turns out Night drive, an album that earns them recognition amongst both the general public and the dj´s. Besides being executive producer, Alvaro also signs the remixes that later on appear in the stores , with the great Koschitzky..Also during that year, Alvaro creates the events production label tendence, together with a couple of friends, and start creating a series of parties that happen every two or three months in a Persian palace of the nineteenth century in the hearth of Madrid.MALVA RECORDS presents TENDENCE, ALVARO VELA´s new workWe address you today to present the new album by our artist Alvaro Vela.
