DR.BEAT, Aka. Jaime Sagastibeltza, started his career as a DJ in the late eighties in the middle of the ACID HOUSE movement.
In the early nineties he started playing in KU San Sebastián, the mother company of the infamous KU Ibiza, and he was very influenced by the BALEARIC sound.
Later, in1997, he moved to England where he contacted with the CLUELESS SYSTEM crew and during those years he played TECHNO at many underground parties in Spanish and European raves and clubs (San Seabastián, Madrid, London, Cambridge, Amsterdam, Burdeos, etc.)
In 2000, Dr. Beat went to Ibiza and played HOUSE at the best clubs, AMNESIA, PRIVILEGE, KM5…
In that summer he released a promo vinyl with a Balearic hymn: “MEDITERRANEOâ€. It became a hit when DJ HARVEY included it in a house mix compilation.
In March of 2007, ESKIMO RECORDINGS will re-release “Mediterraneoâ€, remixed by SUNSHINE, the man behind DUBTRIBE SOUND SYSTEM.In 2004, DR.BEAT joined BORJA CAMPION and THE TWO MAMARRACHOS was born !
Today, after 20 years in the music business, DR.BEAT owns his recording studio, TRANSFORMA AUDIO, where they are working in new productions as
“I..ve tried it†or “Man in a box“ and as a DJ he is involved in the
THE TWO MAMARRACHOS.

Big summer tune alert!
"Mediterraneo" is a summery breezy guitar nugget with a proper mediterranean flair. Strummed guitars, a lazy beat, a killer bassline that kicks in halfway through, all topped off by the cheesy but lovable bongos - it's a recipe for success. On the flip we get the more abstract airy remix that's equally summery if a bit more subdued.
