Charly Sy is a part of Sayag Jazz Machine , Teknic Old Skool, the MoSt and Santa Crew. Half senegalese, half spanish.french at last. He grew up with latin & soul rythms.He studied Accordion as a child... Until he met funk and hiphop culture.Eric.B ( & Rakim ) or Jay Master Jay (RUN DMC ) showed him the way to the scratch.95'/96', first turntables, first mix... He grows up with the Sayag, playing everywhere in France.He colaborated with people like Lena/Bidlo, Collectif Slang, The Most, Lucy Dixon, Soul Geisha.He is resident too in the Santa Crew parties in the Nouveau Casino, Paris. But he's more into scratching with musicians, bringing his turntable skills and some atmospheres, sound effects from his job ( he is also radio director )...somewhere between music and words
