About Me

Hi there. Welcome. I think it's pretty sweet that you somehow landed on my page. Why? I've got a lot to share with you.
My name's Andi. I'm a performance poet. Lover. Big sister to one. Little sister to many. I like to chase dreams until I can't remember what they looked like anymore. I find myself most at home in the sunshine that hits wet pavement after thunderstorms. I don't know what it means yet to be alive, but I'm getting there one stage, living room, airport terminal, and El stop at a time. I've been on the road with my performance poetry for the past year (started in September 2006) because it felt like the right next-step after high school. Obviously, I need to trust my feelings more often. I've been doing the whole writing thing since second grade, with the performance of it added in 2002. Not a single regret.
I am in college now, doing the student thing. But, if you would like to book me for a feature, I am pretty good at making free time.

Band Members: If you listen to "stars" and are in some way moved by what you hear, I encourage you to check out the Coalition Against Sexual Assault website (http://www.volunteersolutions.org/chicago/org/6872862.html) to see what you can do to help the cause. It may be the perfect opportunity for you to get help, or to volunteer your time, your talents, or donate to start making a difference. That's what the organization has done for me, and I wouldn't trade the experiences for the world.

Sounds Like:
sounds like what i have yet to write or finish writing. but also indefinitely like a cool breeze on a 90+ degree day in chicago. hopefully. see, i've been trying to personally personify the wind. because air can make a human into a living recyclery, changing negative energy into positive motivation.

i'm trying to be what i know i can.
