To worship You...I live.

About Me

Hi there. Thanks for stopping by my space!
ABOUT ME:
I am the wife of Andy Selby (super talented programmer/producer/writer). And no, I'm not biased one little bit. ;) I'm the mom of Karissa (beautiful mini diva-to-be). I am also mom to my furry daughter Tootsie (Peke-A-Poo) who thinks she's a human. These 3 are my little world and what I'm most proud of.
I'm also a singer/songwriter/worship leader - the latter of those 3 is my biggest passion. Just a few short years ago my famous quote used to be "I'm a singer - NOT a worship leader." Well, you know what happens when you think you can't do something. God many times will lovingly "nudge" you into just that. There is nothing on this earth I love to do more than worship and lead others in worship.
I am a worship leader for Christian author Stormie Omartian ("Power Of A Praying" series) in the seminars she does around the country. I feel so blessed to be involved with this amazing family and in the work God has already been doing with both Stormie and Michael's ministries. When I'm not on the road with the Omartians, I go out on my own doing solo dates leading worship and doing concerts.
A song I recorded with Stormie's daughter Amanda ("Worthy Is The Lamb") on Stormie's album "The Prayer That Changes Everything" was released as the album's first single. It was in heavy to medium rotation on many Christian radio stations across the country. The song eventually peaked at number 3 on the INSP charts and is one of the Top 20 Inspirational Songs of 2005.
As far as songwriting goes, I do that here and there and have had a handful of songs cut. "That's Where My Heart Is Too" was recorded on the album Songs From The Message-The Way Of Love (companion project to The Message Bible). A song I wrote called "The Cross Before Me" was arranged by David T. Clydesdale as a choral anthem and was released through Word Publishing's Choral Club. Christian teen pop group Aurora recorded a song I co-wrote titled "Shout" on their sophomore release. Bethel World Outreach Center just put out a new project (which I also sing on). A song I co-wrote called "Nothin Can Separate Us" was recorded as the opening song. I also wrote half of the songs on my own album (More Of You).
I do some session/background vocal work around Nashville. Some people I've worked with are: Michael McDonald, CeCe Winans, Newsboys, Audio Adrenaline, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Kristin Chenoweth, David Phelps, Helen Baylor, Calvin Nowell, Lee Greenwood, Kim Hill, Vicki Yohe, Lynda Randle, Sheila Walsh, Mandisa, etc. I've sung on some Veggie Tales stuff - the "Jonah" movie soundtrack and "The Incredible Singing Christmas Tree" album. I love studio work - especially when I'm singing with my friends. They are hilarious!
Anyway, that's my life in a nutshell. God is a God of great miracles and He always keeps me guessing as to where He'll take me next. I'm just glad I get to be along for the ride. :)
