Peculiar Gentlemen

On a crisp spring evening back in 2002, two men stood on a stage together for the first time. As they looked out into the anxious crowd, all packed in and pouring out of the room, they just nodded to each other and placed the needle on the record. The first of the men was E-Beats. His role as architect, sound sculpter, and beat builder provided a foundation and structure unique to the ever changing music world. His innovative blends of classical and jazz music with hip hop and drum and bass had the audience stunned. They were in his world now, chaotic and elating. The second man was "Sweet" Willy Jive. Armed solely with an acoustic guitar and a voice, so sad and humble, yet commanding and proud. He strummed along, lifted his head began to sing, "as the sun rises up above me, it shows the blanket of a world beyond the sea..." The audience, already on there feet swaying to the rythm, collectively realized that they were standing at the beginning of a cultural and musical revolution.In 2005 they released their first official album, entitled Full Paw Special, which spanned just about every musical genre that existed at the time. In fact, the album predicted several musical trends now occuring here in 2007! The album is available on itunes (see link at end of bio) and at every Peculiar Gentlemen show.Presently, Peculiar Gentlemen are in the studio recording material for thier sophmore effort, "The Difference". It will feature the vocal stylings of country/soul singer Leslie DiNicola, soul/gospel by Nailah Daaj, and folk rapper M.C. Saragoose. Backing band Boom Clique has also been brought on board, featuring Luca Bartociolli, Steve Bryant, Eiko Peck, Joey Ankowitz, Brendan Cahill, and Giancarlo Calaiani.
