Folk music is not dead...It's just a little sick!

About Me

Whitt is a veteran of the Great Folk Music Scare of the 60s, adept at a variety of guitar styles, with years of experience writing and producing. He spent a number of years in radio, so he's able to live on next to nothing...Judy, his wife, partner, and chief enabler has a background in theatre, (they met in radio) and patiently pursues prowess at whatever bizarre object her husband insists is a musical instrument--washtub bass, washboard (hey, she wouldn't use them for their intended purpose!), flute, mandolin, ukulele, boat and train whistles, guiro, claves, finger cymbals, jaw harp, bodhran, bongos, frog--yes, frog...whatever her multi-polar mate desires...They started with their daughters as a family band for a homeschool music project. When their daughters escaped to pursue their own musical careers, Mom and Dad became a duo unshackled by the conservatism of their youngsters. The result has been--well--unique.MWT has three CD's, four if you count the gospel compilation. All are currently available through their website (coming soon to cdbaby.) All are live performances, & can be seen and heard on their website www.mckinneywashtubtwo.com.
