Crazy Dave

I walk to the beat of a different drum and stand on my hands in a world of fun!

About Me

Greetings!I'm David or "Crazy Dave." I'm called that because I'm oftentimes a kooky person. Walking to the beat of a different drum, thinking outside the box, coloring outside the lines -- these are some of my personality traits that contribute to what I love to be the most: a creative person. This innovative nature of mine comes out mostly in my music. A two-time music graduate (Theory/Composition and Choral Music Education), I play four instruments (piano, guitar, bass guitar, percussion), and I sing. I've written many songs, mainly Christian songs, which I wrote for my musical, The Wonders of His Love (www.Wonders-of-His-Love.com or CLICK WEB LINK BELOW). The song you're hearing now is one of my compositions from my musical. I recently wrote a special patriotic song called "We Love the USA" (A Tribute to Our Armed Forces), which has a video attached to it: www.WeLoveTheUSA.net. (Check it out!) This music video, which won a Telly Award, plays on many government networks, including The Pentagon Channel, and is featured on countless websites of military/government and troop-support organizations, including the U.S. Department of Defense. And something else, if you really respect life, you just have to check out this composition of mine, which is also a music video: www.WeWantToSeeTheWorld.com. Okay, enough about my music, but I had to start with it, because other than my children, it's my greatest source of happiness.Anyhow, welcome to my MYSPACE! Nice to have you aboard! I like my MYSPACE because I get to make and break the rules. Feel free to write me or become my friend. Most everyone is welcome!A few more things about me. I have two great kids, John (19) and Kelly (18). John lives with me and attends college. Kelly lives with her mom and will attend college this fall. My children and I are in contact often and very close. Not only are they my children, but they are my best friends. To learn more about them, look below and check out their MYSPACES.I really like dining out. I'm addicted to it and became that way after spending numerous years in the restaurant business. When I travel, I prefer going to tropical places. I'll take the beach over the mountains any time! For exercise, I walk and do upper-body exercises daily -- handstands too! My favorite exercise is throwing Frisbee with my kids. Fitness is very important to me, and I have great admiration for people who strive to stay in shape.Professionally, I'm an Information and Editorial Analyst for a local government. But my passionate aspiration in life is to become a renowned composer.Personally, I'm a really easy-going guy. I like making people laugh and feel special. I'm a good listener too and like to ask questions to keep an interesting conversation going. If you meet me, you will think I'm a little different, kinda silly, but you'll consider my personality innocent, as well as refreshing, interesting, and quite humorous.Regarding my spirituality, I'm Catholic and believe in God. I think religion is very personal, and everyone has a right to his or her own faith, as well as their beliefs and/or non-beliefs, but if I see hypocrisy taking place in religion, I get really turned off.Okay, that's enough about me. Thanks again for dropping by my MYSPACE. If you want to know more about me, check out my answers to the survey below:

My Interests

Music, music, music, etc. Did I say music? Playing and composing it is my passion. I really like dining out too. That's where a bunch of my money goes. I enjoy traveling to tropical places. Taking a drive in the countryside (especially when it's raining) or walking in the woods are cool too. I like scary movies, mainly ones about demons and monsters, but the older I get, the dumber these movies seem, particularly monster movies. I really enjoy severe weather. Hurricanes and tornadoes fascinate me.

I'd like to meet:

For lunch: Paul McCartney; for dinner: Shakira.Regarding meeting gals and guys, I like gals who are on the feminine side with sweet, fun, and interesting personalities, and have the ability to speak and listen equally. If they can sing really well, I worship them! With respect to their appearance, I like them with cute faces and slender, curvy figures, and I prefer brunettes.Regarding guys, if you're a musician, you're automatically my friend. If you're a really good musician, you're automatically my really good friend because I can learn from you. If you're into sports, I won't dislike you; we just won't talk about them, because sports talk is really boring to me. Basically, my guy friends are those who are upbeat, funny, a little odd (like me) and like talking about music.

Music:

The Beatles is my all-time favorite group. I love the Supremes too. I like most of the music of the 60s and the 70s, and my kids do too! After those two decades, I think the percentage of good songs declined, and my kids agree. Regarding classical music/composers, Mozart is the man! Bach is a close second. I love musicals!

Movies:

The Wizard of Oz is my all-time favorite movie. I also like The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, which used to scare me to death as a child. I let my children watch this movie when they were the same age that I was when I first saw it (8), and they said it was dumb, not the least bit scary. Another favorite movie is Amadeus, along with music biography movies, such as Coal Miner's Daughter, What's Love Got to do With It?, Ray, Walk the Line, etc. I also like Gone With the Wind, The Godfather, The Untouchables, Titanic, and I love all the Disney movies.

Television:

I don't watch a lot of TV. I'm mainly a just-before-bed channel surfer. But when I do surf, I often stop on the Discovery Channel, History Channel, A&E, Biography, and TV Land. Waking up on a Saturday or Sunday morning to an episode of Andy Griffith or Bonanza is always a treat! And sometimes a good LMN movie can be quite enjoyable.

Books:

I'm a big reader as long as I'm reading musical notes. I collect music fake books and enjoying reading them at the piano. I like hymnals too, especially ones with old music. If I'm reading words, tabloids are my favorite source! I like People Magazine too. But I mainly like looking at the pictures in these publications.

Heroes:

God; my children, my parents and 5 siblings; The Beatles (mainly Paul and John); Mozart; Martin Luther King...
I WROTE THIS LOVELY SONG!
