One wrote the year 2000... winter... it is gloomy... snow is falling... some graves of the local cemetery are decamped ... the coffins open and empty ... the citizens are in revolt ... Where are the corpses? ... fear and panic spreads ... then suddenly in the middle of the night ... warlike noise ... METAL! ... the undead have arrived ... THRASH METAL ZOMBIE ATTACK!
The German band POWER was founded in winter 2000 by five completely insane jackasses and plays in the above mentioned cast until now. Very quickly the guys agreed to kick ass, so the only music style that was worth considering was thrash metal. Characteristic for the music is Stefs voice, which covers a spectrum from deep growls over aggressive thrash shouts to a clear, melodic singing. Brute mid- and uptempo guitar riffs and a straight-in-your-face drumming support the singers anger. The live show steps aside as an equal element: Vast quantities of blood and energy, a zombie orchestra, that maltreats its instruments in the most brutal way and a shouter, who calls even the sleepiest undead out of their graves.
The first demo cd Victim One was recorded in spring 2001. The next demo Hate Explosion followed in the beginning of 2003. The recordings for the first album Thrashblitz started in February 2004 and were finished in April. The relase date was july 2004. In August, 2005 the band entered the Beatpoint studio of Klaus Spangenberg to record two new Promo songs, which should be published on a 10' Split single in the beginning of the next year.
POWER can look back on a rich live experince collected at gigs with acts like DEW SCENTED, JACK SLATER, BLOOD RED ANGEL and KATAFALK. For the future the band..s ambition is to play as many live gigs as possible and to contaminate the living, break necks and shed blood as if it was water. BEWARE OF THE THRASH METAL ZOMBIES!
