It was a dark and obscure night when PATH OF GOLCONDA first stirred their vessel into the chilling, hideous waves in 1999. Winter came and went but what stayed when the tide had fled were five waifs with badly tuned instruments and a vision.
From the storm-ridden devotion of the early Black Metal-influenced days to the sinister and mysterious vibe of the present, both the press and fans followed the PATH OF GOLCONDA lingering through darkness and decadence, Amor and Psyche or Heaven and Hell with growing enthusiasm.
Destination:Downfall was the first self-produced album to be recorded at Stage One Studio, Germany, in 2004 which gained best reviews and critics throughout the press. Keeping on hitting the stages in and abroad of Germany, PATH OF GOLCONDA now are famous for being both an impressing live monstrosity and a guarantee for enthralling records as well.
After shows with Hypocrisy, Napalm Death, Dismember, Moonspell, Hatesphere, Gorefest and a thousand more, PATH OF GOLCONDA decided to punish humanity again in 2006, releasing "The Threshold Diaries". Again, press and audience applauded frantically - giving the band reason to hit the road once more and celebrate the their twisted concept of Metal and madness night after night with the raging fans.
After this year´s live dates, PATH OF GOLCONDA are going to start writing their next album... so watch out for news and prepare for the worst...
