Gypsy Pearl is fronted and founded by Angelina Sarantis, born in Atlanta, Georgia to Greek immigrants. A pearl emerged from the union of Greek and American culture, a movement otherwise known as Greek Fusion. In her own words, "I am Greek Fusion, but I wanted to express my other influences, so I created Gypsy Pearl".
Veil is a perfect example of Greek Fusion. The song contains samples from her fathers Greek music. 'Love at First Sight" is also a great example of Greek Fusion. "Na Na Na", is a contrasting piece that fuses Angelinas high tones with low-toned melodic hip-hop beats.
Angelina Sarantis is Gypsy Pearl. Although Gypsy Pearl represents cultural exploration through music, it also reflects the human essences of Gypsy Pearl... sensual melodic being with captivating hips and soothing vocals. The music of Gypsy Pearl is spiritual, loving, flirtatious, and eclectic. This music is eternal and shall be loved for generations to come.
