Mystic Defender

You have four types of magic to attack with.

About Me

You play Joe Yamata (Kujaku), on a quest to rescue Alexandra (Ashura) from the villainous Zao (Nobunaga), who is using her soul to resurrect his master, Zareth (Kelvin), in Azuchi castle.
Mystic Defender is hard to categorize. They're not a cover band. Well, they do cover songs, but they're so UNfaithful to the original versions, that it's almost difficult to recognize what they're playing until they're more than halfway through the song, at which point it hits you, and you bust out laughing: "I KNOW THIS SONG!" like Nick Spiccoli in "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", getting down to "Wooley Bully" at the prom. These guys aren't playing rock for the chicks, or for the dudes, for that matter. They're playing, in their own words, "because we don't care about anything - EXCEPT FOR YOU!!!" Comparisons between frontman Chaki and Jack Black's character from Richard Linklater's "School Of Rock" were plentiful, but Chaki has been rocking out with his cock out for longer than Tenacious D, guaranteed. Sideman "Hot Dog" has been backing Chaki for a long time too, long enough to have transitioned from playing guitar to playing a strap-on Casio keyboard (CZ-101?) with enough balls to keep a bassist out of the band. A band consisting of two keyboard players, a guitarrist, and drummer, everybody but the drummer, Morgan, took turns demonstrating their abilities to mock every song the band covered. This band is not for the stiff-lipped: Mystic Defender are wanting their audience to enjoy the show as much as they're enjoying putting on the show.-Duddhist Monk
