Sclera started as a project back in 2002 by Ben Boyle and Aaron Piacentini before forming as a full line-up early 2003 consisting of Ben Boyle (Guitars and Vocals), Aaron Piacentini (Guitars), Daniel Lyon (Bass) and Perrin Chapman (Drums), after working on and building up a collection of material Daniel Lyon soon left and turned his efforts over to Synthesist shortly after joining them and not long after certain circumstances lead to Perrin Chapman being unable to play drums in Sclera any longer, after a long hiatus of writing material and searching for members, Sclera re-formed with a new line-up late 2005-early 2006.
With a better and more stable line-up, Ben Boyle moved his efforts from guitar and decided to concentrate solely on vocals, the new line-up consisted of Ben Boyle (Vocals), Aaron Piacentini (Guitars and Vocals), Pete O Donovan (Guitars), Sean Hawkins (Bass) and Dean Hulett (Drums).
Late 2006 saw the letting go of Sean Hawkins due to difficult circumstances. We are still currently searching for a permanent Bass player. If you feel you could fill the position, please contact us asap.
Having shared the stage with what we consider some of the finest bands in this country, including- Ruins, Ne Obliviscaris, The Ocularis Infernum, Darkest Dawn, Moredhel, Be'lakor, The Ninth Path, Augur + more... we are keen to continue to gig as much as possible into the new year and beyond... if you wish to book us for a show, feel free to contact us through here.
