About Me
Howdy y'all!Welcome to T-Dawg's Productions' My Space! My name is T-Dawg, aka Thomas Helland, and I have been producing concerts and festivals in Georgia and North Carolina since 1998. I started with a small festival in the middle of a just-planted-the-grass field where we put up the stage by headlights in October 1998, called Blue Ridge HarvestFest, and it blossomed into a wonderful 3-day event full of Americana, bluegrass, "jamband", and folky greats like Vassar Clements, Ratdog, Peter Rowan, The Funky Meters, John Prine, Leftover Salmon, North Mississippi Allstars, Tony Rice, Donna the Buffalo, Moe., Medeski Martin & Wood, The Code Talkers feat. Col. Bruce Hampton, Del McCoury Band, David Bromberg, David Grisman Quintet, Larry Keel Experience (& Natural Bridge), Caroline Aiken, Joe Craven, Acoustic Syndicate, Snake Oil Medicine Show, Donna Hopkins, MOFRO, Railroad Earth, Ralph Roddenbery, Blueground Undergrass, John Cowan Band, Psychograss, and so much more. I was fortunate to be able to bring High Sierra Music into the picture, and HarvestFest was a changed veteran of the scene beginning at the fourth annual version in 2001. Year in and year out, BRHF has been one of the top festivals of the year, but we've had quite a few bouts with Mother Nature, and while the music never stopped, the weather certainly stopped some folks from coming on out. We canceled the 8th Annual edition of the Blue Ridge HarvestFest due to financial concerns and the insane hurrican patterns that had developed over the last two Septembers, beginning with Hurrican Ivan, and of course Hurricane Katrina, causing a flustered world in the Southeast. Stay tuned for more info about HarvestFest, here and through the website (http://www.tdawgsproductions.com). A few fun things to check out, and I'm about change it up a little bit there as well as provide some goodies here. As my good friend Larry Keel might say so eloquently, "ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeah.." ;-)I've also produced many concerts in and around the Atlanta/Athens area and North Carolina, as well as some special live recording sessions at the Award-winning recording facility Tree Sound Studios (http://www.treesoundstudios.com). Quite an amazing place. Clubs and bars where I've produced shows include Variety Playhouse, The Tabernacle, The Melting Point, Smith's Olde Bar, Eddie's Attic, Red Light Cafe and Jake's Toadhouse. It's been one helluva ride. Look for some exciting shows in the future, primarily in Athens, but there will be some fun ones in the Atlanta area, too. I have an email list that I send out to bi-weekly, sometimes throwing in an extra one depending on what's happening at the time. If you're interested in being part of the email list and learning about some exciting new (and old) roots music artists, from here and abroad, then go visit the T-Dawg's Productions website to sign up. It's quite easy. I'm sure that soon I'll be able to put the emails up here as well, so if that's your means, then please go right ahead!I'd like to know who you are and invite you to join the "friends" space, and let's get the jam started! One thing I pride myself on is the quality of the performances, and I want you to know about them! As I learn more about being set up here, I'll add more, and I look forward to meeting y'all, too!peace love & cheers, tdawg===========================BLUEGROUND UNDERGRASS - Dublin Blues
