Can you be sure? Is there a time when He's not listening?God always hears you when you pray. He has promised you that He would and you have His word on it.In this world we live in where a person's word cannot always be trusted, it's easy to see why many people choose not to trust us when we give our word.Try telling the bank you'd like to have a loan and you'll give them your "word" you'll pay the loan back. Most banks will take your word along with some type of collateral. They want your loan to be secured by a house or a savings account or something else of value that they can seize if you don't keep your word and pay. Very few people can receive a loan based solely on their word.But if you're one of the few who can receive a loan or credit based solely on your word, why is that? Most likely it is because you have a history of keeping your word. The bank or creditor will take a look at your credit report and see if you have a history of repaying your debts as agreed. With a solid history of repaying your debts on time, a bank or institution will feel confident that you will do what you say.But what about God? Can we trust Him at only His word? Is He good for it? My suggestion to you is that you take a look at His history of keeping His word. If you do, you will find that God has an excellent--A 1, credit rating. He always does what He says He'll do. Based on His past performance, you can trust Him at His word. If God says He'll hear you when you pray, then when you pray be confident that God hears you.Build up your faith in God by memorizing these scriptures that promise God hears your prayers. Then when you pray, pray in confidence and boldness. Don't allow yourself to doubt if your prayers are being heard. If doubtful thoughts come to your mind, simply recite or reread these promises from God's Holy Scriptures.John 11:41, 42 --(This is my personal favorite scripture to say at the close of my prayers or if doubtful thoughts come to me.) And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me..."Psalm 10:17 "Lord, thou has heard the desire of the humble ... thou wilt cause thine ear to hear."Psalm 18:6In my distress I called to the LORD; I cried to my God for help.
