Tate (Sherman) steps forward with a message of hope, carried on a fiery-winged musical vehicle that is beginning to take Gospel music by storm.Born April 2nd, a native of Toledo, OH ( right across the line of Detroit, Michigan, home of the most powerful names in the Gospel Industry!) Melody A. Tate began her career in music at the age of three, writing her first song entitled ..I Love you...With the teaching, guidance and prayers of her Parents, Bishop James R. and First Lady Ella R. Sherman, with two elder siblings, Pastor Eric L. Sherman and Pastor James D. Sherman, Melody is the only girl and their only daughter. She possesses a legacy of the anointing, love, gifts, talents and inspiration passed down from generations to generation.Melody A. Tate, affectionately known as "Mel" is the Former Ordained Minister of Music former member of the New Covenant Church CLG (served 20 years), and the former Diocesan Minister of Music of the Trinity Central West Diocese (served 5 years) (Bishop James R. Sherman), and formally the Assistant National Minister of Music of the Churches Of The Living God (served 8 years).Melody is an accomplished singer, musician, writer, composer, arranger and Evangelist. She has been involved in the industry of music for more than 16 years. She has produced and recorded several recordings.She recently graduated with her Pastoral Theology Degree (Associates) August of 2006 from Master..s Divinity School of Theology. Her ministry is managed by her Husband, Courtney D. Tate and the team of CME Music Productions . Melody is currently working on her official Freshman Solo project entitled ..Anointed.. to be released Nationally 2007.Melody presently resides in Tampa, Florida with her Family. She is the Assistant Minister of Music at ..The Mega Church.. Mt. Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist church in St. Petersburg Florida.Melody has proven to be a kind, gentle, humble, faithful, saved, Holy Ghost filled servant who loves the Lord.Melody shares a wonderful life of Love and marriage as a devoted wife with her ..Gift From God .. Deacon Courtney D. Tate II, mother of three beautiful children, Camille, Xavier, and Courtney III . Melody is a friend, sister, and a woman of God who loves people and ministry! Just call her Melody! It is a name that truly describes this Awesome Woman of God!
