Kellee Webb

In a genre that is lacking in the vitality that brought it to it's popular peak in the 60's, singer-songwriter Kellee Webb is one of the few artist creating music that is truly contemporary yet truly folk. Kellee Webb is a musician with an ecclectic sound that owes as much to Nirvana and Hank Williams as Richie Havens and Odetta. She mixes a voice that is thick and sweet like home-spun honey with commanding guitar work to create a genuinely inspiring acoustic alternative. Where else can you find an African-American woman who plays a mean guitar and yodel a country tune if so inspired?

After featured performances at Festivals in 2004-2005, including Artscape (a 3-day Baltimore art and music festival that is the largest of its kind in Maryland with artists such as Isaac Hayes, The Violent Femmes, Wyclef Jean, Boys II Men, Southern Culture on the Skids, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, The Commodores, and De La Soul), Kellee has relocated to Massachusetts and will be performing all around New England in the next few months.
