Since 1994, KING TONE has been blessing the masses with reality based lyrics motivated by a lifestyle that has been filled with trials and tribulations to say the least. Born and partially raised in Milwaukee, KING TONE has street ties in Chicago and Las Vegas where he frequently visits on a regular basis to handle personal business and to promote his musical expertise in a poetic format known as hip hop. In 2000, KING TONE, who was formally known as "SHIFE TONE", was one of the founding fathers of "414 ENTERTAINMENT" and the front man for the popular group "LIVE-N-DIREK". With the smash hit "SHOW ME LOVE" sweeping the air waves, KING TONE was taking full advantage of his success by networking with producers, artist and other high ranking officials in the music and entertainment industry. In 2001, the record label combined the raw talent of KING TONE with a few other artists to form the street based group "SHIFENIGGAZ". Later that year, "SHIFENIGGAZ VOLUME ONE" was released to the public. The album was successful dispite controversy between the members of the group and the local media extensions. Eventually, KING TONE departed ways from the label due to conflicts within his personal goals and the interests of the group as a whole. KING TONE then went on a spiritual journey where he discovered knowledge of self and as a result, gained a more vivid direction of what path he wanted his music and his life to travel towards. "I figure that I was put through all of this adversity in life for a reason and through that understanding, I feel as though I have a purpose. And that purpose is to be righteous and to display a manifestation of allah in all aspects of my existence. After all, we all were born in his essence so why not display the image that we were blessed with," KING TONE says when asked about his change of lifestyle. In 2005, KING TONE created 3RD CROWN ENTERTAINMENT and released "CREAM CITY VOLUME ONE" which is described by many as a mixtape/album that utilizes original and mainstream instrumentals combined with revolutionary motivated lyrics to produce a style of what KING TONE describes as "Street College". He explains this by saying, "Where I'm from you gotta be an intelligent thug, whereas you are fundamentally well rounded in the business world as well as the in streets...What other person do you know who can speak business to the President of a major organization in the morning and hit the streets and grind when the night falls...I'm diverse and that whats special..." In 2006, KING TONE teamed up with long time childhood friends ARMAGIDEON, VIVA FIDEL, KNOWLEDGE DEVINE, JAE KLASSICK, AND G. MURRAY to become a member of the hottest rap affiliation in the midwest THE TASTE EMCEES and GORILLA PROMOTIONS. Together they have released "THE WAKE UP CALL: PREPARE FOR DRAMA" album which just recently hit the streets and is taking over hip hop as we know it. KING TONE explains, "The music is for the young and the old, the rich or the poor, any race or gender, and for people who are tired of the same watered down music which glorifies killing our children, brothers, sisters and our community. WE NEED A WAKE UP CALL!!!" KING TONE has perfomed in shows with many artists such as TWISTA (featured on the SHIFENIGGAZ VOL. ONE ALBUM), TYRESE, CRUTIAL CONFLICT, X CLAN, CASH MONEY RECORDS, SADAT X (BRAND NUBIAN), WEBBIE, MC BREED, MS. JONES along with many others throughout this musical journey.
