BIO:
I am a Las Vegas native who is fortunate enough to be blessed with the gift of music. At the age of six, I started taking classical violin lessons under the instruction of Oscar Carrescia. When I was thirteen years old, I stopped taking lessons regularly and started listening to jazz, R&B, and hip-hop. I really couldn’t read music that well in orchestra, so I cheated- I started playing by ear. My improvisation improved drastically after I joined and played in my church’s (Mountain Top) teen service band. Playing in church gave me the opportunity to learn how to blend my strings with keys, bass, drums, and vocals. After I never took my improvisational talent seriously until people went nuts while hearing me play violin over a compilation of radio songs during a high school talent showcase.
I am currently a mathematics major at Fort Valley State University in Fort Valley, Georgia. I plan to pursue engineering at Georgia Tech after I earn my B.S in mathematics at FVSU. My ultimate career goal is to become an engineering project manager.
I love music to death, and I realize that it will always be a part of me. My talent is a gift from God that I must continue to improve and share.
GOD Bless!
