About Me

My mom told me this story that describes our personalities all too well...There once were two children, one a pessimist the other an optimist. When they came home from school on their birthday, each child went to their room. The pessimist’s room was filled from corner to corner with every imaginable bauble and gift. When the pessimist entered her room, all she could do was complain: “This diamond is too small! This bracelet doesn’t sparkle enough! These shoes will cause blisters! Those baskets don’t have enough packages in them! This cake isn’t high enough! The door to the pessimist closed upon her ongoing screams of complaint. The optimist’s room had been filled to the brim with nothing but horse manure. Tons of manure filled her room. Nothing else. Upon entering, the optimist could be heard all the way down the hall, “OH GOODIE! HURRAY! YIPPEE!” When we walked into her room, the optimist could not be found anywhere. Finally, the bottom of her shoe poked through the middle of the steaming pile. Pulling her out of the brown muck, she was found with a smiling face beaming through the putrid residue. “What are you smiling about?” she was asked. “Under all of this, there HAS to be a pony!” MyGen Profile Generator
