Add to My Profile | More VideosAfter years of working with other peoples' bands and theater companies, Bekka realized that she needed to write and sing her mind and heart about the spiritual and environmental state of Mother Earth and her creatures. She participates and leads rituals, ceremony, and prayer with people of all religions, which is one of her passions. Bekka's music is fueled by her love for frogs (and other slimy and fabulous creatures); the sacred wildness and importance of feminine energy; and helping children to receive and share love.
Bekka feels equally at home in a Synagogue, a Native American Tipi ceremony, and singing in a gospel choir. She loves to swim in the ocean, explore hot springs in her birthday suit, and hike mountains. Her divine purpose is to help people move through their fear and live their true BLISS.
She has travelled the Moroccan frontier on camels into the Sahara Desert; taught art, dance, and improv to inner-city and homeless teens; Line Produced a feature film in Death Valley; performed a world-premiere opera in Bangkok, and done body and healing work with cancer patients. She feels that the feminine juice emerging in all of us is going to SAVE THE PLANET.
Most recent appearances as a actress, composer, producer, singer, and band leader include:
In New York City:
*In the San Francisco Bay Area:
*Bekka has also toured nationally, and abroad in Germany and Thailand.
This is Bekka's Frogland Orchestra's first release-entitled ELECTRIC LILYPAD- and Bekka is travelling to Europe for the whole month of July 2006 to play music, connect with other artists, sell the new CD, and get some new MOJO around her creative work. Shows will be in Paris, Amsterdam, and Berlin.
