About Me

Get Your Own MySpace Music PlayerI guess the best way to describe myself is that I am forever a “work-in-progress”. At least that’s the way I see myself. I’ve always tried to step back from what I am to see where I am going and decide on what I should be doing. It’s actually very exhausting! There is no one more frustrating out there to me than me! I am my own worst critic by far and I’m sure it will always be that way.On a positive note, all of my frustrations and inability to “relax” has caused me to become a very focused, driven person. I feel confident that I am headed in the right direction. Although I have given up on trying to decipher exactly what that direction is, I know that I am on the right path. And really that’s all that we can hope for as human beings; that we’re moving forward and not backward.I have devoted my life to learning the enormous world of music and all that it encompasses. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Composition, I have joined several music organizations, gone to many different music conferences and seminars, submitted to tons of song contests (I won an honorable mention in the 2004 Billboard World Songwriting Contest for “Dream”), and read a staggering amount of music business books, publishing books, recording books and anything else I could get my hands on.I’m passed the point of no return (subtle Phantom of the Opera reference). I couldn’t choose another life path even if I wanted to. I’m committed and focused and I’ve decided that this is going to happen for me. I’ll learn everything that I need to learn, I’ll take any advice anyone will give me, and I’ll continue writing until the right person at the right time in the right place with the right project and the right setting hears me. Just like winning the lottery, I probably have a better chance of being struck by lightning. But there is still that chance and I’m going to go for it.
