HOMELESS SEXUALS

This band was formed in idea over 10 years ago by Davit Buck who was the only member for several years. Through many almost starts and possible members the band finally took shape in 2004 by merging the entire MICE band Poe (BILLYCLUB...) ,Rob(BILLYCLUB,LIFE CRISIS...) & Raool(BILLYCLUB) with Davit (.MOTHER RUSSIA,SUBTERRANEAN HORSES) on vocals.
To strengthen the sound another member was brought in, Drew (WASTRELS,LIFE CRISIS)Poe then switched from bass to second guitar, rob remained on guitar and Raool remained on drums for a while. Raool eventually quit after someone threw a glass at his head and he became fed up with Davits stage antics.
Raool was replaced by Chris (ULTRA,VIRES,CHAZ), Davit & chris hung out for a couple weeks before Chris even came to practice for a try out,by the time Chris showed up at practice with the other members he had learned the entire full length and had ideas for new material. Everyone agreed they had found the new drummer.
Chris lasted a year and decided he wanted to concentrate on school and his other band CHAZ.Chris recorded the 2nd album with Homeless Sexuals but quit before the album was complete.
Adam from life crisis,who actually tried to form homeless sexuals with davit years ago,joined Homeless Sexuals the same nite chris quit. Since he knew all songs on the first album and was given rough mixes of the second album .
Adam lasted about 6 months , the band was going through some personel things and was put on hold for abit. Chris was asked to rejoin and accepted, the first show back with chris is nov 3rd at the alibi....................................................... ................................................ Full-contact rock ’n’ rollAnother local debut elicited unexpected reactions at Scolari’s Office last week. This one ended not in mild disappointment, but in a flurry of flying fists and mic stands, spilled beer and bloodstains—all within two minutes of striking the first chord.
The Homeless Sexuals are made up of members of The Mice and fronted by singer-cum-performance-artist Davit Buck (ex-Subterranean Horses), a self-proclaimed purveyor of “full-contact rock ’n’ roll.” Buck’s past antics include inviting audiences to throw eggs at him, swingin’ his tackle around every dive bar in town and incurring dozens of stitches.
According to Buck, he accidentally spilled a patron’s beer within the first few seconds of the band’s opening song, “Chicken Milk Alien Baby.”“Accidentally” is a subjective term—after two pitchers of beer Buck was flailing about like an epileptic in an electric chair. Buck then fell to his knees to continue singing and was hit in the shoulder by a thrown bottle. He picked up the bottle and threw it back at the table from whence it came, and patted the angry bottle-throwing patron’s girlfriend on the back and said “I’m sorry, baby.”
“The next thing I knew, four or five guys were attacking me,” Buck said. More people jumped into the fray and a small-scale riot broke out before quickly being quelled. The music was stopped, but Buck jumped on top of the bar and started screaming, “You fuckers don’t know what rock ’n’ roll is!” At that point, Scolari’s staff pulled him down and ejected him from the bar.“Then I was trying to leave out the back door, thinking it was all over, and some old man just came up and clocked me in the side of the head,” Buck says. “So I lost it—again—and kicked him in the stomach.”
Unsurprisingly, Buck considers the show an overwhelming success, despite not making it to the first chorus of the first song: “It was definitely the most successful full-contact rock ’n’ roll show to date.”
Also not surprisingly, the Homeless Sexuals currently have no shows booked.

Yeah, I Perform in Diapers and Pajamas "Some people tell me, 'No way I'm hanging out in a fag bar to see a punk rock show,' " says Davit Buck of the Homeless Sexuals, who appear at Hillcrest's Brass Rail tonight. "I can see how some people might think it's a gay show, since the flyer has a shirtless...dude in a blue g-string...but we personally love women, probably too much."
Buck will book more Thursday punk showcases at the club, depending how tonight's multiband show goes. "They're letting me bring any band I want.... My original plan was to include a dominatrix or a burlesque troupe, but that hasn't worked out yet."
Buck says he's been mistaken for a homosexual before, which doesn't bother him."I performed in San Francisco in pink little girl's underwear and white stripper gloves, and a guy called me a fag and wanted to fight me. It made me laugh to be called a fag in San Francisco.... Yeah, I perform in diapers and pajamas and do things that the average person might consider gay, but if you're not a fag, then seeing the Homeless Sexuals play at a gay bar in Hillcrest ain't gonna change you one bit. Inside, it's fucking chaos. The whole scene reminds me of archival outtakes from Repo Man, except this time there's no uniformed message of "chaos for fun." It's just a mutant form of hipster debauchery that's both disgusting and liberating. Some troglodyte is snorting what I assume is coke off an old Spanish dictionary and the guy who can no longer wait for the bathroom is pissing off the back balcony in plain view.
Davit Buck, the frontman for local noise-punkers The Homeless Sexuals, just got his armpit unnervingly close to my face (he's not a Mitchum man) as he screams, flails about and generally lives up to his band's MySpace moniker of "full contact rock-n-roll."
Later, he'll make out with my date. Like I said, fucking chaos...
