IN BUSINESS SINCE 1958

About Me

I am Bucks Burnett, President of BucksCo. We am here to serve you. I was in a real cool rock band The Volares for 10 years, from 1996-2006 ( thevolares.net ). Now I am a solo artist. Does this mean there is only one of me? I will have to tell us.I have operated fan clubs for Mr. Ed, Tiny Tim, and Ronnie Lane. I have worked at record stores for 30 years (but it seems like 50). I owned my own record store, Fourteen Records in Dallas, Texas, for 7 years, 1988-95. I currently own exactly 500 sealed Rutles 8 tracks in their original shipping boxes. I enjoy looking at pictures of nature.England is my favorite place to be but I live in Dallas so sometimes I'm not there. But you might go looking for me there anyway cause you'll have a good time not finding me.

My Interests

music, writing, art, barley vogel, 8 tracks, one hundred dollar bills, british airways, turtles, adventurous rhyming, discontinued mirrors, full price sales at gigantic chain stores, black and white pictures of U2 but i've never seen one, magazines, barcodes, and the current controversy surrounding the relation of fish to gravity

I'd like to meet:

I've already met them. But I'd still like to meet David Bowie and Keith Richards. But I'm running out of time (or is it them).

Music:

I love (to name a few): Let's get it out of the way, The Beatles, plus Led Zeppelin, Talking Heads, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Tiny Tim, The Volares, The Church, Salim Nourallah, unkown musicians on unknown labels on dead formats, and most importantly Bad White Gospel.

Movies:

1. The Seven Year Itch, 2. 2001 (the best movie ever made about the recent past), 3. Manhattan, followed by many others I'm sure, in no particular order. I consider myself a Movie Dumbass and am not qualified to discuss them.

Television:

Then: The Rifleman, Twilight Zone, Andy Griffith, Mr. Ed. The Royle Family; Now: Monk, Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Catherine Tate, but my favorite show is called Off.

Books:

Are those the thick magazines for grownups without many pictures?

Heroes:

just for one day

HIGHWAY TO HELVETICA ..1: 10/11The thick bold headline at the top of The New York Times said it all in one chilling word that somehow left little to the imagination; 'AGAIN.' Again, a flying motor veh...
