Barcode Enemy

About Me

BARCODE ENEMY is a coalition of creative entities who believe that modern design is being ruined by the inclusion of barcodes and FBI warning logos on entertainment packaging. BARCODE ENEMY exists so that people who love album cover art, good magazine cover design, and better visuals in general may have a place for information and exchange. Our immediate goal is to simply begin the organization from the ground up and establish some goals and exchange opinions and information regarding the erosion of modern design. We will soon begin communicating with art departments of magazines, book publishers, and record labels in the hope of encouraging a more sensible approach to barcode usage and warning logos of any kind.Yes, I realize how silly this might sound. But I'm still not over the shock and dismay I felt when I saw my first barcode on the back of a Bob Dylan album in 1980 - a barcode inserted into a photo of a sunset. I have decided that I would like to try and do something about what I consider to be the wholesale slaughter of art in the modern marketplace.I hope that you will join BARCODE ENEMY as a friend today. Thank you. Bucks Burnett, Founder.

THE FBI LOGO WILL SOON BE ON EVERY CD COVER!

What's even worse than a barcode on a CD cover? The FBI warning logo. If you haven't noticed, it's on the back of EVERY new CD release of the past 2 years. Why is this a bad idea? First, it's just pla...
