A Brief History

I love music and I have been involved with it my whole life.

At 15, I started playing drums. Later, in High School, I helped promote and book shows for my friends in a band called Gedi Duroe. I also wrote for a local publication called Public News and became an unofficial member of Program Council at The University of Houston ("unofficial" because I was still in high school).

In college I became involved with the campus radio station, KSHU-FM/Huntsville, serving as Music Director and Program Director. I also created and hosted the specialty shows, "The Backyard Barbecue" and "Explosions In The Glass Palace".

In 1986, I began working at Rock 101 KLOL-FM/Houston. Within a year, I became the Music Director and the host of a specialty show called "Exposure".

Between 1989 and 1995, while I continued to host "Exposure", I also worked for a music wholesaler called Southwest Wholesale, consulted talent buyers at Pace Concerts and provided music consultation for KPNT-FM/St. Louis.

In 1995, I joined The Rocket KRQT-FM/Houston which soon became 107.5 The Buzz KTBZ-FM/Houston. In addition to be Music Director, I also hosted "Lunar Rotation" and created another show called "What The Hell Is This?"

In 1998, I became a Music Buyer for Soundwaves Music in Houston. In 2005, I returned to the airwaves with a show on KFNC-FM/Houston Supertalk 97.5 called "High Fidelity".

Currently, I teach at the Houston campus of CSB (Connecticut School of Broadcasting and work as a Traffic Producer for Metro Networks.
