"Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve...Learn to be detached and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle; show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity; avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny.”
-From the teachings of Krishna.

More about me: Hi there! I work on a college campus now, which is great. I program computers all day at work, read spiritual literature in the evenings, love to watch the late night comedians do their thing, and also love singing to the radio. My spiritual endeavors take precedence over most other interests, but vacations and travel are two of my favorite things. Visiting new places makes me very happy. New Zealand and Canada are my favorites, but I love Sedona too. I travel there a couple of times a year for spiritual seminars. I love cats, but don't have one!?! My family is just an awesome group of people! And The Course in Miracles is one of the best things that has ever graced my life. :)
Me and my Sis.
El Santuario de Chimayo, NM
People come to the Santuario in the thousands, close to 300,000 a year. They come to worship the Almighty, to ask for peace in the world. I've been here and taken the miraculous healing sand that is offered.
I love finding other seekers to share this journey with. Once at a lecture in Sedona, Dr. Hawkins said that we seekers of Divinity are like migrating birds. We flock together on our journey to Divinity. He also said that if some of the flock gets ahead of us, they will wait up ahead on the next island for the stragglers to catch up. Isn't that lovely? And make no doubt about it. We ARE destined for enlightenment. I came to tears at one of his lectures when he said this. I felt like I had never really acknowledged this. It just really hit home, you know?
Anyway - just wanted to let everyone know how important you and me and all of us on this journey really are. We are paving the way with spiritual energy for all those behind us. Think of it as a golden glittery trail of light that they will be attracted to. :)
Love, Joy, Peace, Enlightenment
-Karen.
Everything we touch takes on a shining light that blesses and that heals. At one with God and the universe we go our way rejoicing, with the thought that God Himself goes everywhere with us.
How holy are our minds! And everything we see reflects the holiness within the mind at one with God and with itself. Our shining footprints point the way to truth, for God is our Companion as we walk the world a little while.
And those who come to follow us will recognize the way because the light we carry stays behind, yet still remains with us as we walk on. What we receive is our eternal gift to those who follow, went before or stayed with us a while. And God, Who loves us with the equal love in which we were created, smiles on us and offers us the happiness we gave.
- From A Course In Miracles - Lesson 124

My Interests

"When a seeker hears the Truth and contemplates it, the fire of knowledge is kindled within. Then, freed from impurities, he shines like gold."

- Shankaracharya

"Make a gift of your life and lift all mankind by being kind, considerate, forgiving, and compassionate at all times, in all places, and under all conditions, with everyone as well as yourself. This is the greatest gift anyone can give."

-- Dr. David R. Hawkins, p. 248, Eye of the I.

About me... Spiritual books, seminars, beliefs, and teachers occupy most of my free time. Science Fiction literature is a fun diversion. I enjoy comedy shows and movies, making greeting cards, books on CD, music and concerts. My daughter and hubby - my favorite and most beloved Karmic inheritance. :)

Katie and Pat

Children are beautiful.
If God loves his children more than we can imagine, and we know he does, then we are truly blessed.

-- Acts 27:23
There is a light inside that shines so bright that it illuminates the whole world. It is not unlike a flashlight, lighting up objects which we then focus our attention upon. We become obsessed with these illumned objects, and get distracted and even lost in the things of this world.
But the true beauty lies in turning the light inward, and seeking its source. When we somehow lose interest in those temporary sense objects, and look inward with great intent and burning curiosity, we finally begin the awakening process and soon will realize the truth. - Karen
