First off I was born and raised in Chicago's South Side, I remained there until after graduating from Oak Forest High. Shortly after graduating, I enlisted in the Navy. I was designated as an Aviation Electronics Technician. After bootcamp I was assigned to NAS Pennsacola, FL and NAS Whidbey Island, WA for my training. After graduating I spent the next 3 1/2 years in Rota, Spain assigned to VQ-2 an EP-3E squadron. Once my enlistment was up I returned home to start my "new life". I quickly realized that I was not happy with an ordinary life. That's when I decided to pursue a career in Mixed Martial Arts. I moved to San Jose, California to begin my training with Frank Shamrock and his team in October '05.
