By tirelessly touring Austria as well as its neighbouring countries, Viennas Soundsystem BASSRUNNER SOUNDTRIBE has managed to establish a reputation of being the most active Reggae Sound out of Austria. With a style ranging from the latest in Reggae and Dancehall to the best of Foundation, HipHop and Reggaetón the crew around Selector Loopus is able to cater every crowd.
Besides performing at numerous shows, including stirring live performances by Chilenean singer EL CONDORSÃTO as well as exquisite dubplates, the tribe also produces music of excellent quality. The first 45 Angelito was released in May 2004 and one year later BASSRUNNER PRODUCTIONS launched their first riddim called Burning.
The highly anticipated riddim call TRAGEDY, released in spring 2006, features artistes like LUKIE-D, PERFECT, SPECTACULAR, REBELLION, D-FLAME, EL CONDORSÃTO, Ill INSPECTA and many more, was the next big step forward for the label and was a huge success all over europe and japan.
Fall 2006 was the time, when the first BASSRUNNER dancehall riddim call THUG FUNK focused on the upcoming hardcore heros of the european scene MILLION STYLEZ (sweden), ILL INSPECTA (germany), MAD KILLAH (france) and many more, was finished.
And because reggaemusic is moving fast the next selections are already in progress. So watch out for the next one drop monster coming in summer 2007 featuring JAH MASON, LUTAN FYAH, SPECTACULAR and the next big dancehall ting with appearances by BUSY SIGNAL, HOLLOW POINT and many more.
