HOLY SHIT, are they making a Silver Surfer movie? I couldn't tell at all.

About Me

Random people frequently tell me that I look like Superman, which is kind of funny considering that he is not even a real person...or is he? Or they say, "Hey you, you look familiar. Don't you play gutbucket in that alternative blue grass band on Tuesday nights?" Maybe at some point I will form my own agnostic Christian Rock band. If they ever make Deadpool into a movie, I want to play him.

My Interests

underwater knife-fighting; Tibetan Buddhism; Chinese translation; the South Pole; swashbuckling; the Nazca lines; Japanese tatami mats; meeting women for the weekend and falling deep in love; Tibetan singing bowls, throwing shurikens at targets, and my favorite...IMPROV!

I'd like to meet:

Vinicius de Moraes, David Bowie, the scholar Robert Thurman (so I can date his daughter Uma), and without a doubt Christapher Walken...who else, hmmm..Stan Brakhage, Maya Deren. (Is Astrud Gilberto still alive? Damn she had a sexy voice.)

Music:

I'm a music junkie, with an emphasis on indie-rock and techno, (Traum and Kompakt) Classic rock, funk. Basically everything from Vanity 6's "Nasty Girl" to "The Mind of Gil Scott-Heron, a Collection of Poetry and Music,"..and everything in between, which leaves room for "The Politics of Dancing."

Television:

watching The Simpsons in Português, (seems like every major American show has made it to Brazil. I wonder if they have 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.. in Português.)

Books:

C.G. Jung; Tibetan Book of the Dead; Paul Theroux; Paul Bowles; Jorge Luis Borges; Alexandra David-Néel; the Voynich manuscript; Umberto Eco, Baudolino; Kahlil Gibran; The Upanishads

Max Headroom

While taking a break from LA, I've been in the Belize jungle working with archaeologists at the Mayan sites, hacking through vegetation and braving the mosquitos.  Good times.  I'l...

Lost in the Colombian Jungle.....

So long LA, I think I am here to stay in Colombia.  Bogota was great.  I, too, now have stood at the edge of Lake Guatavita.  They think that gold sits at the bottom so if anyone wants ...
