On New Year's Day 2006 two bands would cease to exist. Both bands had been having trouble within their groups and disbanded for one reason or another. The surviving members of each group came together in an effort to keep what was left of their endeavors alive. After a few rough practices things started to click which spawned a writing frenzy. The end result was a concoction of several genres all spun together into a powerfully melodic, progressive sound. Edge of Never hit the scene hard, creating a buzz around town and packing several local venues such as: The Owl Club, The Town Pump, Sac Roadhouse, The Underground, Willemenas, Dillians, The Kennel Club, Rebounds and more.
In mid 2007 the band reached a crossroads once again when frontman Mike Thomas resigned to pusue other avenues. Wishing him the best the band continued on. Rather than bringing in an outsider, lead guitarist Chris Hackney took on the responsibility of lead vocals while rhythm guitarist Captain Adam stepped forward to take on backup vocals. Closer to the edge of never than ever, the band faced a series of hurdles and is now coming back strong with new material and an altered sound. Don't miss EDGE OF NEVER at a venue near you./A
