The world of rock is ever-changing with a new flavor every month it seems. Emo comes and emo goes. Grunge is lost and grunge is found. One person's definition of metal is not another's. One thing remains the same however...ROCK is forever and is defined by bands that surpass the test of time. Bands that believe in music as the definition of emotional creativity and a vehicle to harness something more powerful than a fad. Originality and pride in indifference, as opposed to setting out to be whatever the current flavor of the month is.
Rising from the ashes of the Sacramento Hard Rock Scene, Resolve to Burn is a culmination of influence and inspiration of love, hate, anger, pain, sorrow, pride, satisfaction, and regrets, to name a few; conveyed through a canvas that filters influence far beyond the boundaries of rock, in an attempt to create a broad and diverse catalog of music within the rock spectrum. Resolve to Burn brings the listener a vast array of different influences, which may or may not be easy to classify, but results in a very original blend of rock. Many have asked the band what their name means, and the response is simply; "this band has so much resolve to finish what they start, that you could burn the excess. Never say die, Sacrifice today for what tomorrow will bring, and that failure is never an option."
Collectively, the members have achieved notable success in their musical careers thus far, including major record label recording contracts, Jager music and clothing line sponsorships, regular radio airplay, sharing the stage with bands including The Used, My Chemical Romance, Bleed the Dream, Saosin, Sevendust, Mushroomhead and more.
Currently preparing for their 2008 release of their debute album Process of Elimination, Resolve to Burn will be hitting YOU and the stage with seasoned power, precision, and showmanship in 2008.
One listen to this album and you will know the band intimately. The Process of Elimination is as lyrically honest as you can get. This eulogy to dead relationships eloquently captures the pain of the emotional rollercoaster ride that always follows great loss. From anger to sorrow, acceptance, to forgiveness, and everything in between. The diversity of style between each song truely helps capture the album's message and keeps the listener ineterested from beginning to end.
Simply put, this band has and is resolve to burn.
