If you are one of the many who's world is crashing down with this news send me money so that I can experiment with bringing myself back from the artistically dead.Stasis originally formed in the spring of 2003 as a side project of Chris Landry (guitar), Paul Wagner (vocals) of CYNOSURE, and Mike Hail (bass) of SMUGFACE. Paul moved from vocals to his original canvas, drums, Chris took on both vocals and guitar, and Mike on Bass. All three originating members can from varying schools of music thought creating an indie stew that continues to evolve with each song they write. In late fall of 2003 Stasis met Derek Land, who had just recently moved to the ATL, and things took a sharp new turn. Chris moved from double duty on both guitar and vocals, surrendering the helm to Derek as the new vocalist. The group collaborated more than ever before taking on a new level of energy. The new directions have brought about an ever-growing catalog of songs. While the guys of Stasis have been working on demos for their debut album with their upstart label Comptroller Creations as their sponsor. Stasis has done anything but remain in the state for which they are named. Their sense of balance comes from the individual violent conditions of their own creativities. -Rachel Livingston
