My name is Mike Mason! I started in radio on July 2nd 2002 with KNDR 104.7 FM in Mandan North Dakota. Brad Bales was my station manager and he is one awesome guy to work under! Thanks so much for taking me in off the street and allowing me to get my foot in the door!
I stayed with KNDR on the weekends for 2 1/2 years - I moved to Clear Channel for about 8 months, then after that I started with Cumulus and Hot 975! Chuck was the Program Director at the time and even though he and I had a rocky start and bumped heads a couple times, we get along great now. That was all my fault anyways! LOL - Now Chris is the PD and once again, I could not of asked to work for a better person. If you ever get the chance to work with Chris, go for it!! He is an awesome guy!
In the midst of all that I did some work with various online radio stations. Highway 40 Country, where I was the host for "Wild Country" Then Cyberstorm Radio, where I was the host for "Mike's Rock Show". I also was program and music director for HOT 102 Jamz, which was a sister station of Highway 40 Country. Hot 102 Jamz is no longer broadcasting, it just never really worked out financially.
In late January I left Hot 975 to try out nights on a country station. At that same time I was Program Director for Z 106! That lasted about 4 months. It was a small town and I didn't really enjoy that factor. It was like a domino effect, you don't like one thing and you end up not liking everything else after some time. That eventually took it's toll. I started looking for a new job in radio.
I still help out Chris with the HOT 975 Myspace page! So if you see my picture on there website, that is why! LOL

Even though it has been just a short time with Hot 93.1 so far... I would also like to thank Spanky, Jayden, Crissy and Dan for making me feel apart of the team before I even was a part of the team. Plus a few people from the other stations in our cluster! Everyone is just very very cool here! So Thank You and look for more thanks in the future! :-)
