Joseph Frescas A.K.A Ballistiq spent his whole childhood around D.Js and music, before he was born his mother would spend most of her pregnancy d.jing at a teen club called skate junction. From after Joseph was born to the age 13 he spent most of his time watching and learning how to d.j. Joseph was know to have a great love and talent for music . Joseph started performing in the 4th grade by participating in elementary school musicals held at Buena Vista elementary. By 5th he was top chair in Choir, violin classes, and dance competitions at his school Lonnie Green elementary, by 6th he became 2nd chair in band on the trumpet at Mary and Russell middle school. In the 7th and 8th grade he won first place in poetry competitions held by the schools of Del Rio. By age 13 he got his first job as a d.j at a teen club called Skate Junction and would perform his d.j/rap skills every weekend at the same teen club. he kept his reputation as one of the best and youngest in his town till he decided at the age of 16 to take his music to another level. Leaving his job to go perform at night clubs Joseph became know as Ballistiq for his crazy skills he had in the hip hop area and also for his wild and unpredictable behavior in the streets. By age 17 he was on his own and out of a home, He would stay in abandon houses around town and would find odd jobs to make money, one day why buying some food from H-E-B, he came across a man named Orlando who was selling his c.d, Joseph then saved enough money to make one song and one song only at Orlandos studio. The song he made was called 830 which stood for the area code he lived in. With the only demo he had he then toke it to a radio station call 96.3, the radio station turned him down cause it wasn’t his beat, so he then toke his demo to the top D.J of Del Rio, D.J Sergio Diaz. Sergio hooked him up with a gig at a middle school dance. This started his career up all over again witch made him popular among his town. With the money he made from performing at such clubs like Club Arriba, Garabatos Up and Down stairs, Ponchos, and Car Shows he then made his first c.d of his dj/rap skills called New Years Blast and sold 2000 copys of his c.d by himself by selling at stop signs, parking lots and the mall. After becoming number one again in his town he hooked up with A.G and Cartoon. Two other rapper in the same town of Del Rio. Joseph would then go to A.Gs studio to record his songs. He then made a second c.d and sold 8000 copys in his town and as well as other towns around Del Rio such as Eagle Pass, Hondo, Bracket, Uvalde And Downtown San Antonio. Since he was on his own he was free to do what he wanted and to go were he needed. With the help of a good friend Named Dameon he was able to travel out of town and perform at night clubs and malls in other areas. He made his name in the south west area quick as Ballistiq the 830 representer .By age 18 and after accomplishing this goal he then moved to Ocean Springs, Mississippi in search of a bigger goal for his music. When he got to Mississippi he found 3 professional studios in his area, He hooked up with donnel the owner of one of the professional studio in Pascagoula, Mississippi. He then saved enough money to buy his own beats and record at the same time. He then created songs such as Just Cruz, Power of America, and the one song that started to get him recognized I’m Frescas. Joseph Then became know as Ballistiq a.k.a Frescas the Freshest Rapper on the Coast
