About Me
The members of Blackboard Jungle are all united thanks to the love of Jah music. From 1994, they have collaborated in a reggae radio station in Normandy (RC2 94.4 FM) for over 4 years. Through the years, they have collected reggae records, gathered music equipment and built some boxs to create in 1999 Blackboard Jungle sound system. Since then, they organize monthly session in Normandy bringing up to 300 people at night. All grooving on the roots & culture sound of the 70’s/80’s to step on to the dub warrior style. Blackboard Jungle also compose music in their own studio which they promote of course on sound system. Artists like Afrikan Simba, Vivian Jones, Empress Rasheda, Lutan Fyah, Ranking Joe, Tony Roots, Earl16, Michael Prophet, The viceroys, Christine Miller, Ras Mac Bean, Kenny Knotts, Murry Man and more have collaborated on productions or dubplates specially made for the crew. Now, Blackboard Jungle is a well know and one of the heaviest sound system in France since they are playing each month at Paris Dubmeetings sessions alongside some of the biggest sound like Jah Shaka, Aba Shant I, Channel 1, Iration Steppas, King Shiloh... the first record production outta Blackboard studio Feat Sand-I, Vivian Jones & Afrikan Simba is available since september 2K7 on the blackboard jungle official website.
